Students discuss the MET Gala’s return

New places, new people and new opportunities—these are all part of the average freshman’s college experience. However, due to the pandemic, many of these experiences, from campus life to the classroom, have changed indefinitely.
As the fall semester draws closer, a new set of students are set to arrive at Seton Hall. Many upperclassmen reflected on some mistakes they made their freshman year and shared insight on how to navigate life as a freshman.
A new club on campus is on a mission to encourage students to embrace and appreciate their natural hair. The Having Appreciation in Realness (H.A.I.R.) Club is an organization at Seton Hall that has recently been recognized by the Student Government Association (SGA). According to its mission statement, “We are working to create a safe space in the natural hair community where you can learn more about how to care for and appreciate your natural hair.”
The CommArts Honor Alumni Mentor Partners (CHAMP) is a mentoring program within the College of Communication and the Arts and the Career Center that works to prepare students for their chosen field by pairing them with Seton Hall alumni. This year, the program is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Students shared their thoughts on what they think are the biggest hits that started off the decade. Some find music to be a huge part of their daily lives and provided songs that they enjoy or top hits that get them in zone. “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd
Disney Plus launched on Nov. 12 in America, Canada and the Netherlands. It is a streaming service which allows viewers to watch old and new Disney shows and movies. Some find the service a gift to people who continue to love Disney and wish to be able to watch the shows and movies from their childhood.
The Asian Cultural Association works to create a friendly atmosphere for people interested in learning about various Asian cultures through fun and innovative ways.
There will soon be mistletoeing and hearts will be glowing as Seton Hall begins planning for the 10th annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
