Pirates 'need' wins in last home series

The Seton Hall softball team will return to Essex County Mike Sheppard, Sr. Field this Saturday as they begin a three-game series against their Big East rival Con­necticut Huskies.

The women's golf team over­came poor first round weather conditions, injuries and a tough weekend from their captain en route to a strong second round, leading to a second place finish in the Brown Bear Invitational.

Seton Hall swept in midweek doubleheader against Hofstra

It was the fourth inning that proved to be fatal for the Pirates on Tuesday. Giving up a combined nine hits and 12 runs in that inning over two games ultimately led to Hofstra sweeping the doubleheader by way of 8-0 in game one and 9-1 in an eight run rule shortened game two that only lasted five innings.

Men's basketball selected for Coaches vs. Cancer

The Seton Hall men's basket­ball team will participate in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. on Nov. 22 and 23. Joining the Pirates are Michigan State, Okla­homa, and Virginia Tech.

Fluid' rotation keeps team on track

All season the Seton Hall baseball team has been searching for the hot-hand to fill out their weekend rotation. Outside of se­nior Jon Prosinski, who has been the Friday starter in each of the eight weekend series, seven other Pirates have gotten a start on the weekend.

The Seton Hall softball team will host the University of Pitts­burgh this weekend at Mike Sheppard Sr. Field as the Pirates get ready for the final part of their schedule.

Seton Hall wins in windy contest at Siena

Following the split of Saturday's doubleheader against Marist College, both Coach Paige Smith and shortstop Brittany Hammer noted that striking first and getting the hitting going earlier was something the team needed to improve on, and that's exactly what they did on Sunday.
