Seton Hall Embarrassed at Walsh Gym in 84-63 Loss to St. John's

The historical context of the first Big East conference game at Walsh Gymnasium in 37 years was overshadowed by a sorry performance from Seton Hall in an 84-63 loss to St. John's. Led by 19 points and 7 rebounds from Posh Alexander and 17 points and 10 rebounds from Aaron Wheeler, the Johnnies perfectly executed an aggressive defensive game plan that the Pirates could not overcome.

No. 20 Pirates Drop Matchup at Marquette in Stunning Finish

In an all-time stunning finish, the No. 20 Seton Hall Pirates dropped a Saturday afternoon matchup with the Marquette Golden Eagles, 73-72. With 1.5 seconds left, the officiating crew called a shooting foul on Bryce Aiken in a tie game despite the graduate point guard getting elbowed in the face on the shot. The call permitted Marquette's Greg Elliott to go to the free throw line to ice the game.

DePaul Fends Off No. 20 Seton Hall, 96-92

Despite a valiant effort in the final minutes, No. 20 Seton Hall awarded DePaul their first Big East win of the year in a 96-92 loss on Thursday. After going down by 17 at halftime and being down by as many as 18 in the first half, Seton Hall put on a clock-preserving clinic late in the game that included a 16-9 run which brought the Pirates to within 2 points with 5 seconds left.

No. 24 Seton Hall Gets Decisive Win Over Butler, 71-56

No. 24 Seton Hall earned their first Big East win Tuesday night over conference rival Butler, 71-56. The Pirates saw the return of Ike Obiagu, Tyler Powell, and Ryan Conway to the bench, and Obiagu made sure the Bulldogs knew he was back, making an immediate impact.

COVID-Stricken No. 15 Seton Hall Drops Matchup with No. 23 Villanova

An undermanned No. 15 Seton Hall fell to 0-2 in conference play and 9-3 on the season after dropping a New Year's Day matchup with No. 23 Villanova on Saturday, 73-67. Despite graduate student Bryce Aiken's 22 points, the Wildcats rode the momentum of 21 points from preseason All-American Collin Gillespie and 17 from senior Brandon Slater.

Seton Hall to play Towson on Jan. 4th

Head coach Anthony Bozzella and the Seton Hall women’s basketball program announced Thursday afternoon that the team would host Towson on Tuesday, January 4th at 7:00 pm in Walsh Gymnasium.

Undermanned No. 15 Seton Hall Falls to No. 21 Providence

No. 15 Seton Hall dropped their first Big East Conference matchup and first game in 17 days against No. 21 Providence on Wednesday, 70-65. In a weak defensive showing, the Pirates allowed for five different Friars to score double-digit points, including 17 from Noah Horchler, a graduate student who shot 5-6 from three-point range.

Seton Hall Cancelled For 3rd Consecutive Game

No. 15 Seton Hall's matchup against DePaul has been cancelled due to COVID-19 issues within DePaul's program. The forfeited loss has been issued to the Blue Demons, giving Seton Hall the win, their first conference win of the season.
