As stated in this week's Setonian, there are a growing number of individuals trying to solicit to members of the Seton Hall community. Primarily, solicitors have been observed trying to get professors and students to sell used textbooks. Some solicitors have even been observed going door-to-door to various professors' offices, asking them to sell their used textbooks.

10. Enforcing the new bike policy
Priority points are system for housing that is unique to Seton Hall.
"It's like a ghost town here every Friday" - How many times have you heard that comment or similar ones from our fellow classmates on campus?
After being at Clear Channel Media + Entertainment for about three months as a marketing and promotions intern, the reality of not having a steady income is slowly starting to wear on me. I checked my bank statement the other day. I was literally shocked by the number I saw - how could I have possibly spent so much money in such a short amount of time?

Last week while reading this very newspaper, I was pleased to see the short piece on Nash FM - New York's new country music station. Why? Obviously I'm a fan of the genre, so it's great having such a station to listen to as I make my daily 45-minute commute to Seton Hall. But more than that, it's nice to see some actual variety in metro area radio programming.
As clich?© it may sound, silence is golden.
With the end of the semester just around the corner, students are beginning to plan their trips back home for the summer. Although many students live close by so they can drive, take a train or bus back home, other students are not that close.
The Pirates long season finally came to an end Wednesday night at the hands of Syracuse. The team may have finished with their lowest win total in the Big East since 1985-86 season but it's nothing that Pirate fans should be ashamed of.
Who decided spring break should come before the start of spring or daylight saving time for that matter? It seems that starting spring break roughly 39 days into the semester seems a little sudden. Fortunately for most students, they had the opportunity to leave town but for those who were stuck in New Jersey, there wasn't anything to do.
As we returned from spring break, all students received an email Monday afternoon from Tracy Gottlieb, vice president of student services, about the new bike policy on campus. Within that email there was also a call to action to help stop vandalism on campus. It is essential that we all take time to read this email as well as help minimize vandalism at the Hall.
The topic that has really been on my mind lately is hair. I know some of you are like, really, hair? Let me say that personally I have a love/hate relationship with my hair.
Providing scholarship funds for individuals who are economically and educationally disadvantaged, allowing students the chance to get a head start in college as well as offering tutoring and chances for students to do community outreach projects - these are advantages that the Educational Opportunity Program provides for students. However, this program has the potential to be cut here at Seton Hall.
10. Family and high school friends
A policy that really bothers me about Seton Hall is the fact that administrative offices have off for holidays, such as President's Day, but the rest of the school still has to go to class.
