Everyone deserves religious freedom

In light of recent religious persecution abroad in jihadist movements, such as ISIS in the Middle East, my heart breaks for those whose religious freedom is restricted. I applaud the efforts of global religious leaders like Pope Francis who promotes religious tolerance and the domestic general authority of the Mormon Church who promotes anti-discrimination laws on behalf of their respective institutions.

We can end sexual assault if we speak out

Sexual violence is something no college student wants to discuss or, worse, confront, but it is necessary to do so. We always think, “Oh that won’t happen to me,” until it does. Sexual assaults are common on every college campus and it is necessary to accept this if we are ever going to overcome it.

Tech advances could mean end of snow days

Each year, our society continues to grow more technologically savvy. Today, there are thousands of online classes held each day. With these technological advances becoming highly integrated into our culture, it may be possible for weather to place less of a hindrance on classes.

University's expansion encouraged

Seton Hall’s expansion is far from over. With the proposal of a school of medicine under the University’s belt, the Department of Communication and the Arts came together to discuss the possibility of a school all its own, as well. What this means is that the department wants to branch off from the College of Arts and Sciences and blossom into its very own school.
