Students gather on Green to denounce ban

Students, staff, faculty, administration, priests, elected officials, and the Muslim-American mayor of Prospect Park gathered on the Green Jan. 31 to call for peace in the wake of President Donald J. Trump’s executive order to temporarily bar citizens from seven predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States.

Seton Hall receives anonymous $8 million donation

 “This truly generous gift will allow Seton Hall to sustain and enhance its status as a leading center of scientific inquiry and learning in the fields of chemistry and biochemistry,” University President A. Gabriel Esteban told Seton Hall’s website. “It will allow us to continue to attract the best and the brightest students and faculty to our university.”

Zeta Psi suspended from campus for five years

Davis said, “As a University, we do not close chapters. The chapter closes the chapter.” He added that Zeta Psi did not follow the requirements, policies and expectations the university has for its fraternities and sororities.

SHU students to visit Cuba in the spring

While there, 22 students will go on tours of museums and historical sites, such as Ernest Hemingway’s country estate, “Finca La Vigia” and Havana Vieja, a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage site.
