Setting the stage at the New Meadowlands

The annual Bamboozle music festival will be held from April 29 through May 1 at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford. The three-day event features major headlining musicians and unsigned bands from various genres from pop to hip hop and rock.

Someone Still Loves SHU

Springfield, Missouri's Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (SSLYBY) will take their brand of breezy pop-rock to the Theater-in-the-Round on May 2. Sponsored by the ONE campaign, the performance will mark the first time a nationally-recognized rock band plays the Hall since The All American Rejects in 2007.

Anonymous singer The Weeknd drops stellar debut mixtape

The anonymous R&B singer The Weeknd recently released his 9-song debut, "House of Balloons" – a staggering mix of R&B, dubstep and indie/avant-garde samples. The mixtape sounds like Drake during his most wallowing moments, offering a dark and despairing insight into the world of drug consumption that, for all its sadness and futility, is also undeniably catchy, or perhaps addicting itself.

Students' second annual LipDub goes viral

The chant "Let's go Pirates, let's go. Let's Go Pirates, let's go" is something one would expect to hear at a winter Basketball game, not on the track in the Field House in the middle of April.But such was the case this past Friday April 15 during Seton Hall's Relay for Life event when the second annual Seton Hall LipDub was filmed.

Relay races for life

Each year, the American Cancer Society (ACS) holds a 12-hour event called Relay for Life, which is designed to raise money for cancer research and both remember those who have died because of the disease and those who have survived it.

SHU gives lip

Seton Hall's second annual LipDub will take place in the Pirates' Cove on Friday at 1:30 p.m. A portion of the segment will also be filmed during the Relay for Life event in the Field House around 10 p.m.

Foo Fighters 'Wasting' no more time

After a four-year hiatus, the longest in the band's 16-year career, the Foo Fighters are back. Their seventh album, entitled "Wasting Light," is full of hard- rocking, head-banging, typical -Foo-Fighters-sounding anthems that highlight the sounds of past albums.

Pirates of the Caribbean

The West Indian Student Organization will celebrate the lively and rich culture of the Caribbean in their second annual Caribbean Showcase on Sunday, April, 10 at 8:00 p.m. in the main lounge of the University Center. The multi-university showcase will cover a variety of areas of Caribbean culture, including its music, dance, traditional attire and delicious cuisine.

Tartuffe' gets modern spin at SOPAC

The Department of Communication and the Arts will present its final play of the season with "Tartuffe," a comedy in which a con man poses as a priest and holds sway over a family, from April 1-3 and 8-10 at SOPAC.
