International month kicks off with “Food Truckin’ Around the World”

You may have heard a lot of noise and seen a lot of people standing in line all over the Green on Oct. 2 because of the Office of International Programs’ “Food Truckin’ Around the World” event, which kicked off the 2014 International Month festivities. The event included food trucks, performances from student organizations, and various games.

Tis the season to ditch basic ways and embrace originality

Drinking pumpkin spice lattes, taking apple picking selfies, wearing chestnut UGGs and fake nerd glasses, dyeing your hair a darker shade, pretending to like football and buying promiscuous Halloween costumes – these are the trade- marks of a typical “basic chick,” done autumn style.

Step up to the mic

Every Wednesday night, the Pirate’s Cove is filled with people, singing on stage at “Open Mic Night,” sponsored by SAB. It starts at 8:30 and runs till 10 p.m., or later if the turnout is bigger than expected.

Get in the spirit of University Weekend

Pumpkin painting, giveaways, games and more are all coming up this weekend for Seton Hall University’s annual Seton Hall Weekend, according to Jen O’Sheal, director of special events. Students, parents, families and alumni alike are all invited to enjoy a variety of events that will kick off with a Parent Welcome Reception on Oct. 3.

Although some may be sad to watch summer end, autumn is a great time to embrace change. Achieving that festive fall spirit can be difficult while away from home but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the beauty and simplicity of the season.
