Alumnus turns SHU into a family affair

In 1986, Seton Hall pitcher Doug Cinnella was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles. He was six credits short of graduation at the time he was drafted, but in the offseason of 1990, he came back to SHU to complete his communications degree.

An art exhibit at the Walsh Gallery is combining the aesthetics and principles of both art and science. The exhibit, titled “Strange Attractors,” offers visual works that foster potential new solutions for global problems, according to its website.

Diplomacy students learn skills to benefit U.S. Army project

The Seton Hall Abd El-Kader (AEK) fellowship is working with a team of eight diplomacy students on a project with the U.S. Army in Northern Africa. The students on the team conduct research, participate in discussions with leaders and propose policies to make real-life impacts.

Two sets of twins at Seton Hall weighed in on their unique experiences in college together, and apart. When asked about being a twin, Teresa Saverimuttu, a sophomore biology and philosophy major, said, “It’s a good time. I enjoy it, for the most part.”

WSOU donates over 900 pounds of food

Last semester, Seton Hall’s radio station, WSOU, held their fifth annual food drive as part of the “Students Change Hunger” program. WSOU collected 908 pounds of food for the Food Bank of New Jersey, surpassing their goal of 895 pounds, which was chosen based on its frequency, 89.5 FM.

“XO Tour Llif3” rapper Lil Uzi Vert publicly announced on Jan. 11 that he wanted to quit music. In addition, hip hop duo “Rae Sremmurd,” consisting of brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, have been the subject of rumors about the duo breaking up. In light of recent events, music majors have shared their opinions on conflict in the music industry.
