Representatives of Spotify, a digital music service, recently visited campus to meet with students involved in its Campus Rep pro- gram and University officials.
Spotify program manager Luke Moseley said Spotify has 14 "influences" who work as representatives promoting their plat- form peers on campus.
"Their job is to show students how Spotify can help them dis- cover music for every moment of their lives in college," Moseley said. "Our influences also partner with organizations on campus to help power the music experience at their events."
WSOU has an active station account on Spotify where its DJs share set lists from shows and create playlists from the latest music.
"WSOU is a unique organization for us; most of our influences are involved in one way or another at the station," Moseley said. "Spotify plans to highlight great college radio stations like WSOU on the 'browse' section of the site."
