The men's basketball team will begin its conference schedule on Wednesday night against DePaul Blue Demons, but will be without one of their sophomores.
Guard Freddie Wilson has left the team and will look for an opportunity to transfer.
"I thank Freddie for his contributions over the last two seasons and wish him luck in his future endeavors," said head coach Kevin Willard in a statement.
Wilson averaged 1.7 points and 0.7 assists in his 40 games as a Pirate in a role of a bench player.
