Although the origin of the trend is disputed, thigh-high boots continue to impact fall and winter fashion. While the concept of the "thigh-high" trend is anything but new, the boot has morphed in various ways.
With all of the different variations of the boot, the possibilities for wearing these shoes are endless. The boots can be worn during a night in the city by pairing them with sheer leggings and a mini dress. However, if a more casual look is desired the boots can be paired with a sweater dress and a coat, or a pair of dark skinny jeans and an over-sized shirt. These looks have been seen on a number of celebrities who not only share the same taste in clothing, but also the same taste in boots.
The most popular thigh-high boots seen this season have been the Gucci Division boots and the Perforated thigh-high boots by Stella McCartney. These shoes have been spotted on celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Blake Lively, and Madonna. Although the idea of having the same closet as an A-list celebrity is alluring, most people do not share the same budget. However, trendy thigh-high boots can also be purchased from Nine West, Steve Madden, Aldo and BCBG at a prices ranging from $150-$200.
Thigh-high boots are a "must-have" item for the current season. With the current ongoing sales, it is the perfect time to venture out and invest in the trend that has made its way into countless runways shows of top designers.
