Seton Hall Alum Nicholas Scalera ('63) met with Interim-President Gabriel Esteban on Tuesday, September 21 to finalize the creation of a scholarship which would benefit underprivileged children. "I can't express in words how enthused I am about starting a scholarship fund to enable financially and socially needed students from Essex County attend Seton Hall. It will be the culmination of a life-long dream." Scalera said.
Nick Scalera is Formerly, Director, NJ Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS); Presently, President of a children's services consulting firm. At Seton Hall, Scalera served as editor-in-chief of The Setonian, becoming the first editor awarded a scholarship in recognition of the importance of that position.
