The annual tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday left some spectators soggy as the rain came down during the preceding performances. These included several campus choirs, some singing classic Christmas carols. A 60 foot fir tree on the University Green is decorated every year with colorful lights. Last year’s light count came to around 43,000 lights.
