The volleyball team handed Georgetown their ninth straight loss Friday night, moving the Pirates to 15-1 on the season and 3-0 in the Big East.
Seton Hall won the match in four sets (25-17. 23-25, 25-22, 25-18).
Georgetown now stands at 6-9 on the season and winless after two matches in the Big East.
Senior Morgan DeVries and sophomore Shelbey Manthorpe paced the Pirates with 12 kills each.
Georgetown's Dani White had a game high 15 kills.
The Pirates also had four serving aces on the game from senior Olivia Trudeau and sophomore Stacey Manthorpe each having two.
After a 7-0 run in the first set, the Hoyas never got closer than three points away from the lead in that set.
After being down as many as eight points in the second set, the Pirates fought back to bring the score within one at 24-23, but Georgetown sophomore Alex Johnson ended the game with one of her 12 kills on the night.
The Hoyas got off to an early start in the third set putting up a 6-1 lead, but the Pirates were able to tie the game up at six and then take the lead.
There was a bit of exchanging points in the middle of the set, but Seton Hall was able to secure the win with back to back kills from DeVries and Shelbey Manthorpe.
A 7-0 run in the middle of the fourth set, which included three kills from DeVries, kept the Hoyas at bay.
The Pirates return to action Sunday at 2 p.m. against the Villanova Wildcats.
