The University is studying how the addition of another sorority would accommodate for its growing Greek Life community.
In order to do this, Seton Hall University has established an Ex- tension Committee to expand the National Panhellenic Conference sororities on campus.
The recommendation was made based on the increasing chapter sizes of sororities at Seton Hall. The Extension Committee was created in October after The Collegiate Panhellenic Council recommended the expansion.
After the expansion announcement was made in the August Extension Bulletin, applications were received from 11 National Panhellenic Conference sororities.
The four sororities are Phi Mu, Alpha Omicron Pi, Zeta Tau Alpha and Alpha Delta Pi.
According to Maggie Bach, assistant dean of students for leadership development, the Extension Committee will meet in March to make a recommendation about which organization will fit best in the Seton Hall community.
The selected sorority will be invited to colonize in either fall 2014 or spring 2015.
