Seton Hall freshman guard Jordan Walker has chosen to continue his collegiate career outside South Orange and transfer from the University, according to Jerry Carino of Gannett New Jersey. The news, which was reported on May 2, came two days after sophomore guard Eron Gordon announced his intention to leave Seton Hall on his Twitter page.
With the two guards leaving, Seton Hall has two open scholarships for the 2018-19 season.

While Khadeen Carrington was the primary point guard during the 2017-18 season, Gordon and Walker took turns as his backup. Walker’s time on the court was scattered and inconsistent, as a hand injury and brief exit from the team kept him off the court for the majority. He averaged 7.2 minutes, 1.8 points and 0.8 assists per game in 17 contests.
Meanwhile, Gordon saw more playing time, logging solid minutes behind Carrington. He averaged 8.2 minutes, 1.5 points and 0.8 assists per game in 30 games played. He also saw key minutes in the second-round NCAA Tournament game against Kansas on March 17, where he logged nine minutes of near-error-free basketball while Carrington was sidelined with foul trouble.
With the two guards leaving, Seton Hall looks to its incoming class and potential transfers to fill the voids. Freshman Anthony Nelson will have to step up at point alongside Sacred Heart transfer Quincy McKnight, who spent the 2017-18 season on Seton Hall’s bench during his sit-out year, while he practiced with the team.
One option that can potentially fill a scholarship is walk-on Philip Flory, who told The Setonian that he will stay at Seton Hall if a scholarship is offered to him. Otherwise, the coaching staff will have to look at transfers and recruits to add to the roster for next season.
