Along with snow and cold weather, the winter time also welcomes seasonal drinks at the infamous coffee chain, Starbucks.
1. Peppermint Mocha with Oat Milk
Students like Heather Torney, a freshman criminal justice major, have a choice of seasonal drinks at Starbucks.
During the cold months, Torney said she orders a grande peppermint mocha with oat milk.
“When I was younger, my dad used to get it and let me try it, so it became a core childhood memory,” Torney said. “Now I get to get my own at Starbucks.”
2. Hot Peppermint Mocha
Margaret Fisher, a freshman visual and sound media and theater double major, said she has made memories with Starbucks on campus.
“A hot peppermint mocha reminds me of walking around campus in the snow,” Fisher said.
3. Hot Caramel Macchiato
Olivia Silva, a freshman biology major, said her favorite drink reminds her of her dad.
“My family used to go to Starbucks every Sunday and my dad would get a hot caramel macchiato,” Silva said. “As I grew older, I realized hot coffee really wasn't my thing, so I just changed his order to iced.”
4. Hot Chocolate
Brandon Strohl, a freshman biology major, said he appreciates his holiday go-to, hot chocolate, because it gives him energy.
“It's simple, it’s tasty and it’s full of sugar, which is a more natural high compared to caffeine,” Strohl said.
5. Cinnamon Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew
Justin Del Valle, a sophomore theater major, said his favorite winter drink tops the others on the menu.
“It’s cinnamon and caramel,” Del Valle said. “I love anything where those two are together.”
