Brandon Caroprese wants to serve as an example for others.
Seton Hall students who follow his example may very well end up as he did, "with two great jobs right out of college."
A 2010 graduate, Caroprese majored in accounting and minored in Italian studies and was a part of the University Honors Program.
He interned with Goldman Sachs, which exposed him to the alternative investment business.
"I decided I wanted to stay in alternative investments but wanted to pursue a career working with buy-side managers in an accounting and advisory capacity," Caroprese said. "I found Rothstein Kass which is an accounting firm that specializes in accounting, tax and advisory for investment firms - it was a perfect match. I have been at Rothstein Kass for almost four years."
Caroprese credited Seton Hall University for his initial success.
"The education I received at Seton Hall gave me the technical skills to land two great jobs right out of college," Caroprese said. "In addition, the diverse experiences I encountered and studied as a student in the Honors Program gave me the foundation to work as part of a team and to add value by providing a different perspective on things. The intellectual curiosity I developed in both the Stillman School and the Honors Program prepared me to challenge the norm in the workplace and go the extra mile in order to develop a higher level of understanding and expertise on technical subject matter."
The alumnus currently helps with the Honors Program Alumni Club. He said he wants to help to motivate current students to take advantage of all opportunities.
"The Seton Hall education can provide a great amount of value to one's life, but it doesn't come with ease," Caroprese said. "If one is motivated enough to rise to the occasion and take advantage of the relationships with professors and the after-hour study sessions, the future return on investment is dramatic."
