New semesters bring new beginnings which is why spring 2015 is the time to gain real world experience and begin your lifetime of success. The spring Involvement Fair will be held Thursday, Jan. 15 from 12 to 3 p.m. in the Main Lounge.
The Involvement Fair can be very overwhelming, which could explain why not all students are involved with extracurricular activities. Due to this, students either enter the fair knowing exactly what table to search for, or not having any idea what clubs will be there.
Now that you are excited to sign up for clubs, you will need to decide on what clubs and organizations are the best fit for you. Organizations are available that tailor every student’s interests. If you are interested in business related fields, Beta Alpha Psi, Alpha Kappa Psi, the Investment Club, Marketing Club and the Accounting Club are the ideal tables to visit.
If you are the type of student who wants to be engaged with the students of Seton Hall, the following clubs will be of interest: SGA, EOPSO and International Student Association. Clubs that deal with service and helping others include: the Seton Hall University Lions Club, Habitat for Humanity, Amnesty International and Haitian Organization Promoting Education.
If you are interested in art, these clubs may be to your liking: SHU Film Society, POETIC and the Photography Club.
If you like to dance, Soldiers 4 Christ and Silent Praise Dance Ministry are clubs to look into.
Aside from dance, there are other clubs and organizations that involve being physically active such as the Rock Climbing Club, Martial Arts Club, PUSH and the Holistic Health & Yoga Club.
If you have a love for politics, these clubs are perfect: College Democrats and College Republicans.
If you find yourself intrigued by international relations these clubs will surely be of interest: The Diplomatic Envoy, Seton Hall United Nations Associations and Undergraduate Diplomacy Student Association.
If you are a science lover you should check out these clubs: Ecology Club, The Biology Society and Physics Club.
If the clubs listed do not appeal to your interests, do not worry because “there are around 70 organizations that registered to table” according to James Ihn, assistant director of leadership development. Students have many ways in which to find a club that suits their interests.
