The Student Government Association (SGA)’s annual elections are being held on Monday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23.
Incumbent SGA President Kai Hansen, a junior chemistry, philosophy and business major, is running for re-election unopposed. The races for the other three executive board positions also have one candidate each, making the election’s results a foregone conclusion. The expected winners are Arianna Salazar, a junior diplomacy major, for Vice President; Jackson Vaughn, a sophomore business major, for Treasurer; and Bryce Gray, a junior computer science major, for Secretary.
Some of the races for the 28 Senator positions are competitive, while others are uncontested or do not have enough candidates to fill the allotted seats. The candidates are as follows:

Zachary Tupajic Evinger, biology and pre-med major
Caleb Campbell, biology and pre-med major
Stillman School of Business Senators (two allotted)
Adrian Castro, sophomore, financial technology major
Andrew Shuster, junior, economics and finance major
Sander Dawson, freshman, mathematical finance, I.T., and philosophy major
College of Arts and Sciences Senators (two allotted)
Aditya Kasina, sophomore, biology major

Mikayla Stepper, freshman, secondary education and English major
Four senators will be elected from the Class of 2028 in the fall, while the School of Theology and ROTC program will elect one senator each.
These are the first SGA elections held since November, when the passing of a Senate Constituency Bill significantly altered student representation and reduced the number of Senate seats from 30 to 28.
