Assistant women's basketball coach Marlin Chinn has left the team for the same position at the University of Maryland, as announced by Terrapins head coach Brenda Frese on Tuesday.
Chinn has been with the Pirates for the past four seasons as an assistant, notably serving as the top recruiter during the last three years.
"When I first stepped on campus, I knew that I belonged here," Chinn said in an interview with the Baltimore Sun. "An opportunity to come home and be a part of a winning tradition that Brenda has set here is awesome."
Chinn originally hails from Washington, D.C.
