Autumn’s warm embrace: Stylish solutions for unseasonably hot days

As fall is coming to an end, fashion lovers are reflecting on the standout trends that defined the season. From plaid jackets and sharp blazers to leopard print coming back in style, fall2024 has been full of creativity and style.

However, something about this fall has been different than in years past. While students are used to putting away their shorts and tank tops to make room for sweaters and jackets, the warmer weather this year has kept everyone on their toes when it comes to deciding what to wear each day.

Here is a look at some of the key trends that have captured the attention of the students here at Seton Hall and how they have adjusted their fall wardrobe to this unprecedented weather.

Evelina Theodoulidou, a junior marketing major, said she is a big fan of fall clothing and the recent fashion trends.

“I love any time I get to wear heeled knee-high boots, and the leopard print comeback with red,” Theodoulidou said.

She also said that despite her love for fall clothing, she had to make some changes this season due to the warm weather.

“I’m used to wearing sweaters and sweatshirts with flair leggings by this time, so with the warm weather I’m still finding myself having to wear summer and spring outfits,” Theodoulidou said.

Kaitlyn Marin, a sophomore public relations major, also said she has a love for knee-high boots this year and how they have been styled with oversized knitted sweaters and a denim mini skirt.

Frustrated with the weather, Marin said she was disappointed with the warmer weather this fall, as she found that she hadn’t been able to wear her fall favorites. Marin shared she finds herself wearing two different outfits— one that is warmer in the mornings and then something else in the afternoon to manage the warm weather that would sometimes reach almost 80 degrees.

On the other hand, some students are still bringing out their fall favorites despite the constant change in the weather.

Mia Maldonado, a junior graphic design major, has been able to coordinate her outfits so that she is still able to enjoy all the fun fashion trends that this season has to offer.

She said that her favorite fall trends are an oversized hoodie paired with leggings and Ugg boots.
