The Seton Hall Pirates softball team lost in blowout fashion to Villanova Saturday, as the Hall was defeated 16-0 in five innings.
Right off the bat, Villanova struck for four runs in the top of the first off of starting pitcher Reganne Camp, two of which were unearned.

Over the next four innings, Camp held Villanova hitless as Seton Hall was unable to do any damage against Nova starter Paige Rauch. The Hall could only manage to get on base from two walks, a hit by pitch, and a single by Katherine Matthys. Rauch struck out eight Pirates in four innings of work.
The Wildcats broke things wide open in the fifth, scoring 12 runs on three different Pirate hurlers: Camp, Chrisa Head, and Mo Sobel. By the end of the inning, 17 Wildcats came to bat, batting around nearly twice.
The Pirates hope to bounce back tomorrow when they take on Villanova again in a Doubleheader at Mike Sheppard Field.
