Giorgio’s Ristorante is a family-owned and operated Italian eatery that has been in business in South Orange since 1989. The restaurant offers lunch and dinner menus as well as house specials. Amongst different families, there are more popular items, so we definitely encourage the students to come on by and see what their favorite is.” Giorgio said she recommends coming in around graduation or visiting one of the many Christmas parties the restaurant hosts for students. She said she enjoys seeing students visit the restaurant and thinks that they will all find something on the menu to enjoy. Kevin Orcutt, a freshman business management major, said he would like to visit the restaurant one day. “It looks nice online and I’d go if I were in the area,” Orcutt said. “Seton Hall has always been part of our journey,” said Giorgio, who is a Seton Hall alumna. “In this community, it’s an ‘everyone-knows-everyone’ place, and so everyone who comes through the door ends up being like family. Once you become familiar with the area, you become familiar with us.” Jason Maryeski can be reached at jason.maryeski@student.shu.edu.
