Seton Hall guard Eron Gordon announces decision to transfer

Seton Hall sophomore guard Eron Gordon announced on his Twitter account Monday afternoon that he has decided to "explore other options" in terms of his college search. He did not specify if he has received offers from other colleges. https://twitter.com/EronGordon1/status/991019741513908224 “The past two years have been amazing,” Gordon wrote in his goodbye post. “I want to thank all of the supportive alumni and wonderful students for making my time as a student here so special.” A three-star recruit out of high school, Gordon picked Seton Hall over offers from Missouri, Indiana and Purdue, among others. As a freshman, Gordon did not see much playing time, averaging 1.3 points in 4.1 minutes per game. In 8.2 minutes per game, Gordon averaged 1.5 points and 0.8 assists. One of his best games of the season came against NJIT on Nov. 18 when he put up seven points, three assists and two rebounds in 18 minutes. With the departure of Gordon, Seton Hall has one scholarship open for the 2018-19 season. That scholarship could wind up going to walk-on Philip Flory, who has been actively seeking opportunities elsewhere in the hopes of landing a scholarship.
