Xavier got started early. Barely three minutes into the first half, senior forward Calum Latham scored from 12 yards out on a well-placed pass from junior Chris Moore. Xavier managed 15 shots on goal, seven of which were on target, while Seton Hall took 10 shots with only one being on target. Latham got the offense rolling again 20 minutes into the second half by delivering a cross for senior midfielder Alex Ridsdale, who placed a shot in the net from 10 yards out. Ridsale kept on the pressure as he ripped another shot for a goal in the 78th minute after the ball rebounded off of a Seton Hall player. With the win, Xavier elevates to 11-4-1 on the season and 5-2-1 in conference play. Seton Hall junior goalie Brandon Barnes registered a full 90 minutes in the net while saving a total of seven shots. Senior defender Julian Kennedy had the lone shot on goal for the Pirates, who fall to 0-14-1. The Hall will continue to search for its first win when the team squares off with the Villanova Wildcats at home for the final regular season contest on Thursday, Nov. 5.   Kyle Kasharian can be reached at kyle.kasharian@student.shu.edu or on Twitter @ItsKyleKash
