SGA Updates: Sept. 24

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="400"] SGA's Twitter Profile[/caption] The Student Government Association (SGA) announced at its Sept. 21 meeting that new senators will be appointed next week. Following the release of new bylaws, SGA Treasurer Francesca Regelado offered assistance to teach club representatives how to navigate their finance requests for their respective clubs. In regards to the Finance Committee, since no new clubs came before the Committee last week, the Finance Committee designated members to staff three new task forces including budgeting, auditing, and external affairs. Business Senator Chelsea Wilson recently sat in on a Stillman School of Business meeting discussing the potentiality of study abroad programs allowing SHU students the opportunity to earn certificates. SHU students can stay informed and receive alerts on campus with the Gourmet Dining Services (GDS) posted daily on the GDS Facebook page and an upcoming mobile application that alerts students when their laundry cycles are complete in the residence halls laundry rooms. SGA events that students can look forward to include outreach event Trick or Treat Town Hall and a flag football game. A food truck festival will be celebrated in the streets of South Orange said to be scheduled for Oct. 2 and 3.
