Seton Hall Men’s golf team finished fifth at the Hartford Hawks Invitational. The Pirates were led by junior Ryan Snouffer, who finished second overall with a 4-under-par, 69-72-71-212. Snouffer started strong in the tournament with a 69 in the first round. In the second round, he shot a 72, but bounced back to finish with a 71 in the third round. He finished two strokes behind the individual title winner, Hartford’s Evan Russell, who shot 6-under-par.

The Pirates finished fifth overall among 19 teams in the tournament with a 31-over-par, 297-304-294-895. The team finished 21 strokes behind the host-Hartford, who took the team title finishing at 10-over-par, 291-290-293-874. Central Florida, Connecticut and Temple finished second through fourth respectively.
Snouffer wasn’t the only Pirate to finish in the top-10. Senior JT Harper finished second for the Pirates and seventh overall, shooting a 4-over-par, 73-74-73-220.
Sophomore Lloyd Jefferson Go finished in a tie for 51st with a 16-over-par, 79-75-78-232. Fellow sophomore Kevin O’Brien had a rough second round shooting an 83, but finished strong with a 74 in the next and tied for 56th place with a 19-over-par, 77-83-74-234.
Junior David Cha shot a 78 in the first round and a 76 in the third, but was disqualified in the second round for not signing his scorecard.
