For the second straight year, the Stillman School of Business has produced a winner.
Stillman MBA student Sean Rainford received an International Supply Management - Capital One Conference Scholarship.
The ISM - Capital One Conference is an annual competition where undergraduate and graduate students from U.S. colleges and universities submit research essays on topics related to international supply management. Rainford was one of 12 winners out of over 100 applicants and will have the opportunity to attend the conference in Las Vegas to be recognized for scholarship honors.
Rainford credits a great deal of his success to his time studying at the Stillman School of Business.
"Because of my experiences at Stillman, I have been able to travel across the country and meet a diverse array of leaders and professionals in my field as well as others that will undoubtedly be assets to my career aspirations," he said.
Rainford noted he looks forward to working on many of the supply management methods he touches on in his award-winning research paper somewhere along his career path.
"If the opportunity presented itself to further expand on the research, I would give it serious consideration," he said.
"I am confident that my career path with afford me the opportunities to work with many of the aspects discussed in the essay," he said.
Rainford said he is priviliged, honored and humbled at the same time to have received his prestigious award. He plans to finish his MBA at Seton Hall's Stillman School of Business and eventually restart his career in the commodities trading space, specifically in oil.
