This season of "The Bachelorette" has been quite a long journey of laughs, dates and tears for Desiree Hartstock. The young bridal stylist came into this experience willing to keep an open mind and heart throughout her search to find her one true love. And she did just that, leading to a shocking and emotional last episode.
Host Chris Harrison proclaimed the two-part season finale as something not to miss, and he was proved absolutely correct. As Harstock headed into the final weeks, things for her seemed to take a turn for the worse. She had fallen for Brooks following their first one-on-one date, making him the frontrunner among the remaining men. However, after bringing her home to meet his family Brooks realized the Bachelorette was not the one for him, tragically leaving the show and Hartstock in tears. It didn't look as if she would ever find her Prince Charming.
But instead of giving up, Hartstock decided to move on and see if there was a possible future with the other two men left: Drew and Chris. Drew sadly was sent packing after a few minutes into his date with the Bachelorette because she could not see a future with him, raising the question if she would do the same to Chris. Chris did not know he was the only contestant left and the only one to meet her family, including the brother who ruined Hartstock's hometown date with previous Bachelor Sean Lowe.
In the end, Chris got down on one knee like when he first met Hartstock coming out of the limo. This time, rather than tying his shoe, he presented a gorgeous ring and asked the Bachelorette to marry him. It was one of the most romantic proposals in the show's history and capped off an unforgettable season.
