The new women's basketball coach, Tony Bozzella, is making moves already, announcing the addition of two new coaches to his staff.
Stephanie Del Preore and Tiffany Jones will join the Pirates next year.
"I'm really excited with the staff we have put together here," Bozzella said in a release. "I'm blessed to be joined by three young ladies who not only are some of the top coaches in the business but certainly will be some of the most loyal coaches you can have. I think there is a wealth of knowledge all three of them will bring in different areas which is only going to help strengthen our program."
Del Preore, a Livingston, N.J., native spent three seasons as the head coach of the University of Bridgeport's women's basketball team. In her three seasons she amassed a 43-42 record.
Del Preore was also a top performer at her alma mater Marist. She averaged 10.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in 109 appearances. Upon her graduation in 2004, she left as the sixth all-time leading scorer and fifth in rebounds.
Club Irlandesas in Leioa, Spain called for her to play professional basketball after her college career. In one season De Preore lead the team in scoring, rebounding and minutes played.
Del Preore took to Twitter on Tuesday, and said that she is looking forward to coaching at the Hall.
"Thank you EVERYONE for the well wishes. Very excited for this amazing opportunity #thankful #shuwbb #bigeast," she tweeted.
Jones comes over to the Hall from in-state foe Saint Peter's, where she spent her playing career, four seasons as an assistant coach and was the interim head coach during the 2012-13 season.
With the Peacocks, Jones worked with the team's guards and took on scouting duties. Jones was responsible for recruiting and making travel arrangements, according to her bio on Saint Peter's website. She was also the academic coordinator, where she guided the team to a 3.0 GPA for four straight semesters.
Jones also played professionally before starting her coaching career. She played in Gottingen, Germany and Enschede, Holland.
"Tiffany is one of the fiercest competitors I have coached against," Bozzella said in a release. "She has become a close friend and an ally. Tiffany knows how to play the game, she knows how to teach the game and I'm looking for her to do so many different things for us and our program, whether it's individual work, recruiting or helping put in game plans."
Bozzella and his new staff with begin their first year later in 2013.
