The women's basketball team lost its second consecutive game on Monday, this time to the Michigan Wolverines, 72-29, in Ann Arbor, Mich.
In one of the worst offensive outputs in program history, the Hall posted its second-lowest point total in two years. The only total that was lower was against St. John's where the Pirates scored 25 points at home.
The Pirates (2-2) were led by senior guard Brittany Morris and freshman guard Tabatha Richardson-Smith, who both scored nine points.
Shooting was the biggest issue for the Pirates. The Hall shot 9-59 for the game, good enough for 15.3 percent, including 3-21 from 3-point range.
Michigan put on a clinic, as forward Rachel Sheffer made one less field goal than all the Pirates combined, hitting eight on the evening. Guard Kate Thompson hit more 3-pointers than the Pirates did, draining five.
The Wolverines dominated the paint, winning the area 34-8.
The Pirates will return to action at 4 p.m. on Friday against Whyoming, as part of the Pepperdine Thanksgiving Tournament in Malibu, Calif.
