Zac Posen Spring
Zac Posen's spring collection features interesting hemlines and designs that are architecturally interesting, in order to mesh with his "classic American elegance" theme. With styles ranging from elegant princess-cut ball gowns to sleek business suits, the collection remains loyal to Posen's signature look but pays tribute to upcoming trends. To further emphasize his designs, all models that walked the runway had their hair slicked down and pushed behind their shoulders. One model, former supermodel Naomi Campbell, made an appearance strutting her stuff down the runway, much to the audience's shock.
Carolina Herrera
Carolina Herrera's spring collection continues the color pop trend. While most pieces consist of muted tans, grays and taupes, the occasional bright-orange color choice is hard to miss. Herrera combines loose-flowing drapery with waist-cinching belts to emphasize a woman's body while making her feel comfortable and feminine. The one black ensemble features a sheer overlay, softening the sometimes-harsh color and keeping the collection cohesive.
Diane Von Furstenberg
It's all about being resort-ready in Diane Von Furstenberg's Spring 2013 collection. The reoccurring use of teal, orange and lime green automatically makes people feel as though they are about to head to the Caribbean for a tropical vacation. In addition to the color selections, Von Furstenberg chose loose-fitting fabrics that make some pieces seem like they can double as bathing suit cover-ups.
