The Big East announced the matchups for the Seton Hall men's basketball team Thursday afternoon.
The Pirates will face each conference opponent once while playing Louisville, Marquette, Providence and Rutgers twice. This will be the 12th consecutive year that the Hall plays their in-state rival twice during Big East play.
For the teams the Pirates will face only once this year; Cincinnati, Connecticut, South Florida and Villanova will all come to the Prudential Center, while the Hall will travel on the road to face DePaul, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and St. John's.
Normally in Big East play, the Pirates will only play three schools on a home and away basis, but with West Virginia leaving for the Big 12 an extra matchup was needed to keep an 18 game conference schedule.
This could be the last season that the Pirates will face Syracuse and Pittsburgh in conference play as both schools are leaving for the ACC, but the Big East has not announced whether it allow both schools to leave early or wait until 2014 to join the ACC.
There are no dates or times for any Big East games yet as the conference will announce them at a later date.
The Pirates open their season against the University of Missouri at Kansas City on Nov. 9 in Walsh Gymnasium.
