Dr. Joan Guetti will serve as senior associate provost of the University, effective July 1, according to a broadcast email sent by the Office of the Provost at 2:00 p.m.
In her new role, Guetti will assist the provost with management of Academic Affairs and the implementation of the University's developing "Strength to Strength" initiative, according to the email.
Guetti joined the University in 1983 as an assistant professor of mathematics, and has since served in several administrative roles, most recently as interim dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.
Also according to the email, Guetti brings "considerable academic leadership and administrative experience" to this position.
