Seton Hall VP for student affairs to leave, headed to Northeastern

Dr. Laura A. Wankel, vice president for student affairs at Seton Hall University, will be leaving her position to become Vice President for Student Affairs at Northeastern University, according to a broadcast email sent by the Office of the Provost. "I felt as though it was time for a new adventure so when approached about the opportunity at Northeastern I decided it had an interesting mix of new experiences for me," Wankel said. According to Wankel, she has enjoyed her time at Seton Hall. "The last 16 and a half years of working at SHU have been filled with terrific memories," Wankel said. Wankel said the incredible community that Seton Hall is has nourished her throughout the years. "At the end of the day all of us who pass through our time here find that it is shaped by the people we encounter," Wankel said. "The challenge of course when moving on is leaving the relationships and people." Wankel has been with the SHU community since 1995 and is a member of President A. Gabriel Esteban's cabinet of advisors, according to the broadcast email. Ashley Duvall can be reached at Ashley.duvall@student.shu.edu
