Senior Jasmine Crew led the Pirates to a 2-1 record in the Paradise Jam last weekend, resulting in a second place finish in the Island Division.
After the tournament, the Pirates record stands at 5-2.
Crew finished as the leading scorer in the tournament averaging 24.3 points per game.
She shattered the tournament's three game record for free-throws made and attempted, finishing 29-for-34.
In the final game of the tournament on Nov. 26, the Hall finished with a 60-49 victory over Old Dominion.
Crew went 8-for-8 from the charity stripe, scoring 21 points overall to lead the Pirates to victory. On the season, Crew is averaging 20.9 points per game and 3.6 assists per game.
Junior Brittany Morris added 20 points, hitting on 7-of-15 from the floor.
The Pirates are shooting 40 percent from the field on the season, including 33 percent from beyond the arc.
This win was also special for head coach Anne Donovan, as it was her first win over her alma mater in seven tries.
Crew appreciates being named Big East Player of the Week for her performance, but is focused on making the team better and moving forward.
"It's definitely cool," Crew said. "I guess it's nice to be recognized but all that really matters to me is if our team is winning, and right now I'm just so focused on the next game."
In the second game of the tournament on Nov. 25, the Pirates lost a very close game to Alabama, 62-56. The Hall rallied from a second half, double-digit deficit to force overtime, but ultimately fell short.
Crew scored a game-high 17 points and played the full 45 minutes.
The opening game of the tournament was against Louisiana Tech on Thanksgiving and resulted in a 72-69 win.
Crew led the team with a career-high 35 points, recording the second highest single game total in program history and the most by any Big East player this season.
She was also 16-21 from the foul line in the contest, setting the single game records for makes and attempts in the tournament.
As a team, the Pirates are shooting 69 percent from the free throw line, averaging 13 made per game.
Crew cited aggression as the key to her overall performance and the team's success.
"In the first half, we were a little nervous," Crew said. "Last year we went to the Bahamas and we didn't do so well. We went into the game and got off to a slow start, but in the second half we really picked it up. We really got more aggressive and we showed that that's the type of team we are."
In practice, Crew hopes her teammates emulate her work ethic.
"I expect the same things from my teammates that I expect from myself, and that's just to come every day ready to work hard and do your best," Crew said
The Pirates will face Hofstra on Thursday at 7 p.m. before coming home on Sunday for their 1 p.m. matchup with Wake Forest.
