Seton Hall student arrested

A Seton Hall University student was arrested last Thursday after it was determined he was in possession of drug paraphernalia while on-campus, according to the South Orange Police Department blotter.

Ian Duncan, 19, was arrested after an investigation by Seton Hall security personnel and South Orange detectives, according to the blotter.

According to Duncan's Facebook page, he is a freshman from Batavia, Ill. He is also listed as a finance major.

The Setonian contacted the Department of Public Safety and Security several times after South Orange Police Department personnel were spotted on-campus on Thursday. However, Public Safety and Security declined multiple times to release any information.

"Unfortunately we aren't allowed to release information on this one because of privacy concerns," Gary Christie, assistant director of Public Safety and Security, said in an email to The Setonian today. "I can tell you that it is an incident that police are investigating and that the investigation is ongoing."

The blotter states the investigation is "continuing at this time."
