Man arrested for luring on N.J. college campuses

The University has taken precautionary measures after a Lawrence, N.J., man was barred from all New Jersey school property after being arrested on luring charges at Rider University.

"We were made aware of this incident from a variety of professional and law enforcement sources but not directly by the state," Gary Christie, assistant director of Public Safety and Security, said. "As soon as we received the information we briefed all of our personnel and posted pictures of the suspect at the gates."

Tony A. Kadyhrob, 68, allegedly grabbed a 19-year-old female Rider University student's arm and tried to pull her toward his car, as reported by NJ.com on March 28. The next day, police arrested Kadyhrob and charged with a felony for the alleged luring of the Rider student.

According to NJ.com, Kadyhrob was escorted from The College of New Jersey campus on April 1. A municipal court barred him from all school property in New Jersey.

Kadyhrob was also spotted near the Princeton campus Wednesday morning, NJ.com reported. He also reportedly told police he visited the campus because he wanted to "troll for ‘young girls' whom he defined as 18 to 30 year olds," the NJ.com article said.

The vehicle Kadyhrob was described driving is a white Olsmobile with black racing stripes. He has also been seen driving a red rental Toyota, which he used to get on TCNJ''s campus.

As of 9:05 p.m. Wednesday, an NJ.com article said Kadyhrob is in Capital Health's crisis center in Trenton.

Kadyhrob's sister told NJ.com her brother suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and has for the past 38 years.

"It is not believed that he poses an immediate threat to our campus community and given the media coverage that this story has garnered, we are confident that if he were to show up here, he would be promptly arrested," Christie said.
