Brayan Martinez who led the Seton Hall soccer team in scoring this past season with six goals and two assists was drafted in the first round of the 2011 MLS Supplemental Draft on Tuesday.
Martinez was chosen as the 18th pick by FC Dallas, the runner-up in last year's MLS Cup.
The selection marks the first time a Pirate player has been chosen in the MLS Supplemental Draft since 2007 when Gordon Kljestan was taken in the first round and Teddy Niziolek was picked in the fourth.
Martinez recorded 14 goals and 15 assists during his career with the Pirates and was also named Second Team All-BIG EAST.
