Seton Hall won their second straight game Tuesday night, defeating the Longwood Lancers 71-58.
Three Pirates scored in double figures. Freshman Fuquan Edwin and junior Jordan Theodore, coming off the BIG EAST weekly honor roll, led all scorers with 17 each, while senior Jeff Robinson added 15 of his own.
Edwin also led the Pirates in board with nine, with Robinson pulling down eight of his own.
For Longwood, junior Antwan Carter led the Lancers with 15 points on 6-12 shooting.
Herb Pope once again did not see much playing time, but in 14 minutes he was on the floor was able to gather six rebounds, but only shot 2-9 from the field.
As a team the Hall shot 41 percent from the field, despite shooting 2-26 behind the arc for 23 percent.
Longwood started the scoring with senior Aaron Mitchell making a jumper 13 seconds into the game. The 2-0 lead, would be the only one the Lancers would hold in the game.
Edwin tied the game 25 seconds later with his own jumper to start a 10-0 run in favor of the Pirates.
Longwood would close the score to three points on three occasions in the first half before the Pirates finished the first half on a 11-2 run to take the 46-29 lead halfway through.
Starting the second half the Lancers started the half on a 9-2 run closing the score to 46-39 with 17:18 remaining in the second half.
The teams would trade baskets for the next few minutes until Mitchell made a layup with 10:20 to go cutting the Pirates lead down to single digits at 56-47.
After the basket, the Hall's defense held the Lancers scoreless for the next five minutes, with the Pirates scoring 16 points in that span, capped off with a Theodore three pointer.
The run was part of a 22-4 run in favor of the Hall to end the game with the score 78-51.
The Pirates stay at home to face the NJIT Highlanders on Sunday, Part of the Hall's five game home stand, and their longest of the season.
