The Pirates beat the Alabama Crimson Tide in the first round of the Paradise Jam tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands with a final score of 83-78.
They were led in scoring by senior guard Jeremy Hazell and senior forward Jeff Robinson.
Alabama entered the game with a 2-0 record after eliminating both Florida A&M and Troy at home in their first two games of the season.
As a result of the victory, the Hall will face either Iowa or Xavier on Sunday night and their record improves to 2-1 overall.
