The Seton Hall men's basketball team added another piece to the puzzle last week with the signing of 6-foot-11-inch Englishman Aaron Geramipoor of the Canarias Basketball Academy to a national letter of intent for the 2010-11 season.
The 225 pound frontcourt addition will be the second recruit from the Canary Islands prep school for new head coach Kevin Willard. Geramipoor follows fellow freshman Patrik Auda, who initially committed to the 2010-11 class back in May.
Geramipoor will look to provide depth to a frontcourt that returns sophomore Ferrakohn Hall, junior Jeff Robinson and the reigning Big East leader in rebounds, Herb Pope.
Geramipoor averaged a double-double at CBA, posting better than 20 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks per game. He is also currently a member of England's U-18 team averaging about eight points and eight rebounds per game.
He will travel to Tel Aviv, Israel with the English National team as the starting center in the European Championship, starting July 22.
Geramipoor joins fellow true freshman Auda, swingman Fuquan Edwin and forward Anali Okoloji in helping to round out the roster for Willard in his first full season as head coach for 2010-2011.
