Kevin Willard has made his first big signing as head coach of the Seton Hall Pirates. 6-foot 9-inch power forward Patrik Auda, hailing from the Czech Republic, has signed a letter of intent to play under Willard according to multiple reports at Zagsblog.com and NJ Hoops Haven.
Auda reportedly turned down multiple offers to play pro ball in Europe.
The new Pirate made the all-tournament team at the National Prep School Invitational in February, and averaged 17 points per game last year.
More importantly, Auda averaged nine rebounds a game.
Auda may be the only big man on the court for the Pirates this upcoming season. Sophomore forward Herb Pope's probability of playing is still up in the air after he collapsed after a workout on April 28.
